Coach Rene Chapa
Coach Chapa brings an impressive 15-year coaching tenure, spanning high school, collegiate, and elite travel ball programs, marked by a proven track record of transforming athletes into high-caliber competitors. As head coach of the Impact Caymol Soliz-Chapa 16U team, he emphasizes technical mastery, strategic acumen, and college recruitment, guiding numerous players to secure collegiate scholarships. His distinguished career includes varsity head coaching positions at 6A and 4A high schools in Texas and New Hampshire, where he consistently drove teams to playoff contention and spearheaded transformative facility upgrades through innovative fundraising initiatives. Renowned for his holistic approach, Coach Chapa excels in cultivating well-rounded players through advanced training in fielding, hitting, and softball IQ.
Previously, as an assistant baseball coach at Colby-Sawyer College (NCAA), he played a pivotal role in player development, recruitment, and operational excellence. His contributions included designing dynamic infield and outfield practices, crafting targeted hitting drills, orchestrating independent training sessions, and managing travel and equipment logistics. Beyond the college level, Coach Chapa led impactful camps and clinics, mentoring coaches and players across the Northeast. His efforts culminated in guiding two athletes to professional Minor League Baseball (MiLB) contracts. A former collegiate and professional player himself, Coach Chapa’s deep expertise and unwavering passion fuel his mission to prepare athletes for success at the highest levels of competition.
